Vicki Mason ( NZ Jeweller)

BROOCHES: Vicki uses powder coated grass, cotton and silk to design this brooch. I like how she makes this flower rose using those materials. She designed this in 2012 and was a melbourne based jewellery maker and she was from NZ. She was interested in plants so she decided to make jewellery out of it. She also uses plastic and textiles to make this type of brooch. The photo was taken by Vicki to show that she has made this for her exhibition in 2012. Vicki studied fine arts at otago polytechnic school in Dunedin and relocated to Australia after graduating from there.

NECLACE (Red spear leaves and bud): I like how Vicki made this neclace because she uses PVC materials to make this triangular design patterns. She uses australian materials to make this jewellery design. Vicki designed this in 2009 and the photo was taken by Terence Bogue for the show and the exhibition.

RING (Sharp blade ring): Vicki designed this ring similar to what the red necklace looks like. I like how the sharp green patterns points up and makes the ring more designy. She uses powder coated brass, sterling silver and hand dyed PVC. She dyed it green to use a different colour rather than primary colours. She designed this in Australia in 2011 to use australian materials over there. The photo was taken by Andrew Barcham to advertise, put up on shows and exhibitions. Vicki was from NZ and became a melbourne based jeweller to use the australian materials and plants.
