Jeweller: Kerry Thompson (Maori Jeweller)

 Kerry Thompson has made this maori bone carving and named this neclace Toki Adze Blade. Kerry completed a diploma course in Maori design at Waiariki Polytechnic. He then became a fulltime artist working primily at Jade and Bone. Kerry has put alot of creative patterns onto his bone carving plus some other maori designs he did. He made this bone to represent his culture and tradition. He made this using a carver or blades to cut off the koru pattern. He also colours this bone silver so the colours can also relates to the silver and gold symbols.

Kerry named this bone carving Ponga - Silver fern. He carves 4 koru patterns on each side of his bone and represents his maori traditions. He uses a tie up string to finish off making his bone carving neclace. I borrowed this image from the website the Tahi Jewellery. He uses variety of materials such as cattle bone, whale bone, ivory, mother of pearl, jade, wood, silver and semi precious stones. The reason why I borrowed this image is because I like the koru patterns and it really shows me interests to carve or cut patterns.

Symbols (Emerald)

 The emerald is a gemstone symbol coloured green by trace amount of chronium and sometimes vandium. I borrowed this image and facts on the wikipedia site. I found this symbol through all the lists of jewellery symbols and chose the Emerald. The reason why I choose this symbol is because I like the green gemstone and this image is reflected from lightness to darkness.

I like this gemstone because the triangular patterns has alot of blended colours from light green to dark colours. This gemstone was divided into 3 colours and it shows that I like the bright blended colours on this emerald gemstones. The emerald is used for making neclaces, rings, earings and bracelets. Many other colour gemstones are also used to creating Diamond games for phones and computers through computer software.

Past (Rene Lalique)

This jewellery was done by Rene Lalique who done this in the late 1800s. He was born on 6th April 1860. He died on 5th May 1945 in Paris. He made this brooch and named it serpent Bloom. I borrowed this image on the website Guyotbrothers.com. It shows that he made a flower looking brooch. Rene is a french glass designer known for jewellery, vases, bottles, chandeliers and clock design. Lene has made a 5 petal brooch using gold. He carves alot of patterns on his petals to make it look creative. I like this Jewellery because I like the flower shaped brooch and he uses gold to create this brooch. It shows that he adds alot of patterns and designs onto the petals.
